Kingfisher

I’ve spent many hours trying to capture good photos of the local kingfishers. These small, brightly coloured birds are a hard target as they are fast when the move. I’ve often managed to get clean photos of them sat on branches, waiting patiently to strike or eating their catch - but this was the first time I’ve managed to capture the action itself.

Shot on a Canon R5 at 3000th of a second to freeze the movement.
